JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (July 28, 2020) – Forcura, a healthcare technology company that enables safer patient care transitions along the care continuum, announces that its new artificial intelligence-enabled technology, Referral Automation with IQ, will help users rapidly identify and accept new patient referrals, eliminating an estimated two hours from clients’ typical referral workflows. Not only will post-acute providers benefit from operational cost savings, improved relationships with referring physicians, and increased cash flow, Forcura’s IQ technology will help patients transition more quickly and safely into their next phase of care.

Referral Automation with IQ uses machine learning to automatically identify and classify new referral documents received via fax in the Forcura platform. Patient demographic information is also extracted and auto-indexed, and can be matched with existing patients in the client’s electronic health record (EHR) system. This valuable feature prevents the creation of duplicate patient records. If no existing patient exists, users can create the patient within Forcura and send the record directly into the EHR to start the onboarding process. With more of the referral process automated, Forcura continues to satisfy market demands to convert documents to data and helps to minimize costly mistakes that can delay patient care or challenge data integrity.
